Jimmy was reluctant to do Karisma's 'Dangerous Ishhq'

After a brief hiatus, Jimmy Sheirgill would be seen on the big screen again with 'Dangerous Ishhq'. However what is not known is the fact the actor could have almost lost out on doing the film. Just about the time when the film's shoot was supposed to kick-start, Jimmy requested director Vikram Bhatt to relieve him since he was going through quite some physical pain due to a medical problem with his spine.

I was quite unwell during the middle of last year. Though I wasn't bed ridden, doctors had advised me to take it easy instead of taking any physical stress, informs Jimmy, I had taken a break and going through acupressure and physiotherapy. My tests were not too positive and those 2-3 months were really bad. I told Vikram that I couldn't do the film as my health problems may have impacted the film.

On his part though Vikram assured Jimmy that he won't put him under any stress and would ensure that his well being is taken care of on the sets.

He was really convincing and all thanks to him that he stood by me in those days of extreme pain, Jimmy gets emotional here, I had the luxury of having my doctor stay with me on the sets right through the day. All credit to Vikram that I could be on feet during the film's making. If I would have stayed at home, I am sure my problem would have only aggravated further.

Now that he is up and running, Jimmy is raring to go with his newer lot of films.

Haan, kaafi lambi break ho gayi but now it is going to be back to the business. This month I start shooting for 'Saheb Biwi aur Gangster Returns'. Meanwhile 'Special Chabbis' is nearing completion as well. On the other hand my three Punjabi productions are in different stages of production as well. There is 'Taur Mitran Di' is all set for release today. Then I would be shooting for my other Punjabi films 'Rangeelay' and 'Saddi Love Story'. My hands are full, informs Jimmy before signing off.
