The massive surge in the numbers of Covid-19 cases during the second wave of the pandemic has caused several states to impose curfews and lockdowns. Just like every other business, film industry has also suffered as the filmings of projects under production have been halted. Recently, actor Jimmy Shergill and 34 other have been booked by Punjab Police for violating the Covid-19 guidelines and protocol.
Apparently, the actor was filming for his upcoming web series 'Your Honor' while ignoring the rules enforced by the state government. The filming was going on in Ludhiana when he and 34 of his crew members were booked. As reported by a police officer from the scene, about 150 people were present on the location at Arya Senior Secondary School in Ludhiana clearly violating the 6pm to 5am curfew.
Jimmy Shergill plays the role of a judge in the show which makes the whole scenario of breaking rules even more ironic.
