Jiiva has been one hot cake in the Tamil film market. Though his last release 'Rowthiram' did not make a jolt in the film market, the actor still has a bag full of good projects with very good directors who happen to have a strong record of hit films in their portfolio.

The actor who is adept at multi-tasking - into running a production house and starting a food joint soon, is also looking forward to his film with director Shankar's 'Nanban.' After being a college student in 'Nanban' Jiiva is getting more offers to play a college student. Sources reveal that Gautham Menon's next with Jiiva will be a film with the latter donning a college student role. Also Gautham is believed to have asked Jiiva to shed a few kilos for that perfect college guy look.

Gautham has his way of getting things perfect for his films and this might be a total makeover for Jiiva who is always willing to try new looks for his characters. This film which is yet to be titled will go on floors next week with the first phase of the filming taking place in Chennai.

Jiiva is also looking forward for a string of releases, with R Kannan's 'Vandhaan Vendraan' where he will be sharing screen space with Taapsee Pannu and later Shankar's 'Nanban.'
