We know what director Rajumurugan is capable of. His ‘Joker’ got a massive reception among the audiences and proved its mettle at the National Awards as well. From then onwards, the anticipation for his next with actor Jiiva has been high. ‘Gypsy’ was the elusive,distinct name given and sure everyone’s wonderment arose.

Well, the first look poster of ‘Gypsy’ has hit the web and it seems like really the director is planning to dish out a different entertainer this time as well. Two first look posters were released, and the two proved to be fab and unique. When we look at the posters, words like ‘freeculture’, ‘hippie’, ‘universal brotherhood’ etc may come to our mind.

There are two Hindu deities on each side, a veiled Muslim woman, a mighty white horse with the crucifix and Jiiva with no signs of allegiance to any religious identity. We see his multi-hued guitar with the peace symbol engraved. And he looks a ruggish, charming charlatan of sorts- a true ‘gypsy’ like demeanour. The other poster has him dancing uninhibitedly while a meek Muslim Natasha watches him in wonderment. The makers no doubts have given us mesmerising posters.

‘Gypsy’ is touted to be a commercial entertainer with socially relevant content as well. Santhosh Narayanan has composed the music score for this film and it would be interesting to see his work in a film like this. The film is being bankrolled by Ambedkumar under the Olympia Movies banner.
