As reported earlier by us the shooting of the fantasy, historical 'Sangamithra' will begin only in early 2018 and producers Sri Thenandal Studios and director Sundar C have decided to join hands for a quickie before that. The new project is the sequel to the 2012 blockbuster laugh riot 'Kalakalappu'.

As per reports coming in from sources close to 'Kalakalappu 2' unit the star cast is going to be completely different from its original, which had Mirchi Shiva, Vimal, Santhanam, Anjali and Oviya.  The same sources suggest that the sequel will have Jiiva and Jai in the lead. Nikki Galrani is playing one of the female leads while the team is looking out for another top actress to join the cast.The official confirmation along with the rest of the cast and crew details will be revealed in the near future.
