Jiiva's 'Gypsy' clears roadblocks after long struggle

Jiiva's upcoming film 'Gypsy' directed by Raju Murugan of 'Joker' fame was completed several months back but the release was stalled due to the censor board demanding several scenes and dialogue cuts that allegedly criticize some central government policies. The director had objected because the cuts could distort the story and went to the tribunal for redressal.
It has been reported that the CBFC tribunal has again awarded an 'A' certificate for 'Gypsy' after enforcing a few cuts and release has been planned this month. The Santhosh Narayanan musical has Natasha Singh playing the love interest of Jiiva while Malayalam star Sunny Wayne makes his Tamil debut in a pivotal role. Selvakumar S.K. handles the camera, Raymond Derrick Crasta is the editor and Ambedkumar produces under the banner Olympia Movies.
