A few months ago there were widespread speculations that actors Jiiva and Vijay Sethupathi will be acting in director Vetrimaran's 'Vada Chennai' which will have Dhanush in the lead role.

In his recent interview to Indiaglitz a question was asked to Vijay Sethupathi about this for which the versatile actor replied that only the director will have to spell out about whether he will be a part of the film or not.

Now Jiiva has also opened up about talks connecting him with 'Vada Chennai' which has turned out to be a highly anticipated project thanks to the success streak of Vetrimaran.

In his interview to a leading English daily, Jiiva has confirmed that the team has been in talks with him for a long time but he was not sure when the film will take off. With this we can ascertain that at this point of time, the 'Katradhu Tamizh' actor is not in a position to confirm whether he will be acting in the film are not as the things are yet to be finalized.

We will have to get the official details about the cast and crew of 'Vada Chennai' either from Vetrimaran and Dhanush and we will have to wait for that.

Dhanush who is presently busy with 'Kodi' directed by Durai Senthilkumar has announced that he will be teaming up with Gautham Menon for a new film 'Ennai Nokki Paayum Thotta'.
