'Jigarthanda DoubleX' is the sequel to 'Jigarthanda', the Tamil movie which was remade in Telugu as 'Gaddalakonda Ganesh'. The sequel is fronted by Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah.

"It's BIG! It's GRAND! It's Double The Taste! The next Stone Bench BIGGIE is 'Jigarthanda DoubleX' (sic)," the makers today said, revealing a teaser-like glimpse video.

Director Karthik Subbaraj, who is the story writer of RC15, has modelled Suryah's character after the sphagetti western style. He holds a harmonica in hand and is seated in front of a pond. On the other bank is a dilapidated shed inside which Raghava Lawrence's character is seen shaping weapons in a furnace with his hammer.

Lawrence gets a heroic intro. His styling is clearly inspired by Rajinikanth's filmography. A rifle, a pistol, a cigarette - between the two characters, we have so much going.

Santhosh Narayanan (music), S Thirunavukkarasu (cinematographer of 'Janata Garage' fame), Shafique Mohamed Ali (editor), T Santanam (production design), Balasubramanian (art director), Praveen Raja (costume design), Kunal Rajan (sound design), Dhilip Subbarayan (stunts), and Sherif M (dance choreography) are on board.
