Karthik Subbaraj to make ‘Jigarthanda 2’ with hero changed?

Karthik Subbaraj who is one of the first short filmmakers who made a big splash in feature films with his very first movie ‘Pizza’ starring Vijay Sethupathi in the lead.  His second film ‘Jigarthanda’ starring Siddharth, Lakshmi Menon and Bobby Simha also was a huge critical and box office success and won two national awards for Bobby Simha and editor Vivek Harshan.

Now it is reported that Karthik Subbaraj is gearing up to make ‘Jigarthanda 2’ which will be jointly produced by his Stone Bench Films and Five Star Kathiresan.  Initial reports suggest that Raghava Lawrence is likely to play the male lead while Bobby Simha will return as his iconic Assault Sethu from the original.

Karthik Subbaraj’s recent release ‘Mahaan’ starring Vikram, Dhruv Vikram and Bobby Simha went directly to OTT.  The performances of the principal actors came in for praise.
