Back in June 2013, the death by suicide of Jiah Khan shocked everyone. The police probed her suicide and, after some days, booked Bollywood actor Sooraj Pancholi on charges of "abetment to suicide under Section 306 of the IPC".

Seven years later and days after the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, Jiah Khan’s mother, Rabia Amin, has come out releasing a video clip in which she alleged that Salman Khan had used his influence to make the police department "keep off actor Sooraj Pancholi". .

“The Hindi film industry has to wake up and be done away with bullying, which is also a kind of killing somebody. The developments in the past few days have reminded me of an incident that took place in 2015 when a CBI officer who I met with in London shared (a secret). He told me that Salman Khan calls him up every day asking not to harass the boy or interrogate him because he had invested a lot of money in him. He showed helplessness and frustration," Jiah's mother says in the video.

She accuses influential people of trying to sabotage investigations. "I want to say please stand up, fight, and stop this toxic behaviour in Bollywood," she adds.
