After being let go from UTV Motion Pictures' Yahoo, sizzling actress Jiah Khan has been axed from yet another project. The starlet was recently dropped from Owais Husain’s directorial debut. Initially, Jiah had been approached for the lead part and she had signed on, but when the movie started its shoot the lead actress turned out to be Sonal Chauhan!

Owais, who is the son of the legendary artist M.F. Husain, recently shot a 3-week first schedule in Chandigarh and news is that the director had second thoughts about Ghajini actress Jiah. But when questioned about the change in actresses, Owais maintained that the project, which has Punjab as its backdrop, had different requirements than what was initially expected. In fact, he’s also a little miffed about people referring to the project as Punjab 69. Jannat’s Sonal denied that she was second choice for the film.
