Jhananathan clears the air

With his last three films 'Ee', 'Peraanmai' and 'Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai' dealing with hidden politics in our day to day lives, director S P Jhananathan says it is not a coincidence.
"There is a dearth for such movies in Tamil cinema. So I would like to fill the gap. I am happy with the response to 'Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai' and my gratitude to the audience," the 'Iyarkai' maker says.
Jhananathan says he was initially little apprehensive as to whether women audience would like 'PEP' or not. "But I learn from my friends that they are making a beeline to theatres and enjoying the movie," he adds.
