'Jersey' is all set to be remade in Tamil as a sports drama with family emotions. Amala Paul has been roped in to step into Shraddha Srinath's shoes. On the other hand, Natural Star Nani's role will be played by Vishnu Vishal.

The role of a cricketer is almost tailor-made for Vishnu Vishal. It's because he has played cricket for the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association in the past. "A leg injury ended his cricket career and the actor noted that during the time he was bedridden, he started watching films and began an interest in an acting career," says a Wiki post.

Amala Paul, who was recently seen in the thriller 'Aadai', is apt for a performance-oriented role like this one.
