The Hindi remake of 'Jersey' has been postponed once again. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and produced by Dil Raju, S Naga Vamsi and Aman Gill, the sports-family drama will NOT hit the screens on April 14. A clash with 'KGF 2' has been averted due to the might of the Yash-starrer.
The new release date is this: April 22.
This is the fifth time that 'Jersey' has been postponed. Unlike in the past (when postponements were due to the pandemic), this time it is not an indefinite postponement. It's just a week's delay. Distributors are believed to have advised the producers not to lock horns with 'KGF 2'. Aman Gill has been quoted as saying that the film is the result of a lot of blood and tears and therefore, the film would have to have the widest possible reach.
Starring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur in the lead, the film has Pankaj Kapoor reprising Satyaraj from the Telugu original. The makers have retained Anirudh Ravichander to compose the BGM.
