Jerry Lewis, the legendary comedy king of Hollywood passed away at his home in Las Vegas on August 20th. He was 91 and is survived by his wife and seven children among whom a son and a daughter are adopted. He was also known for supporting many philanthropic organizations.
Jerry Lewis first shot to fame partnering with Dean Martin as a comedic duo and later as a solo lead in films like 'The Bellboy', 'The Errand Boy' and 'The Nutty Professor' among numerous others and ruled the roost during the 1960s. Indian legends like Mehmood and Nagesh were heavily influenced by Jerry Lewis, especially his slapstick style and dance.
