Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, approaching their second anniversary, are reportedly taking a break and living separately.

According to a source close to the couple, they are spending time apart to reassess their relationship and future. "Jen and Ben's relationship is not over, but they have been staying in separate homes with rising tension," the source told Entertainment Tonight. "They are taking a moment to understand what each of them is experiencing and wants. Both have been feeling down."

In Touch Weekly previously reported that Lopez, 54, and Affleck, 51, have "moved out" and are increasingly spending time apart. "The writing is on the wall – it’s over,” an insider revealed. “They’re headed for a divorce – and for once, [Ben’s] not to blame!”

Amid these events, Affleck was seen without his wedding band while attending a recital for his daughter Seraphina, 15, whom he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. In contrast, Lopez was spotted wearing her wedding ring and talking with Affleck.

Affleck, known for prioritizing his family, "hates" the media attention. "Ben's priority is his family and well-being," a source shared about the couple, who wed in July 2022.
Regarding Lopez, a source told ET that she has "not been paying much attention to any outside hate. She has always had to deal with criticism and knows that she is misunderstood by some." The source added, "She realizes that will always be the case because she's an artist and there are people who don't get her or know her."
