The most recent release of unsealed documents in Jeffrey Epstein's case alleges the late financier possessed 'sex tapes' involving influential figures like former US President Bill Clinton, Sir Richard Branson, and Britain's Prince Andrew.

Sarah Ransome, a case witness, made these claims, but Epstein's defense team questioned their credibility. Alan Dershowitz, Epstein's attorney, labeled Ransome's assertions as lacking credibility, emphasizing the absence of evidence and Ransome's retraction of the allegations shortly after their initial mention.

Ransome's victim impact statement, submitted before Ghislaine Maxwell's sentencing for sex trafficking, included emails asserting that Clinton, Prince Andrew, and Branson were recorded during sexual acts. Ransome's allegations extended to former President Donald Trump, alleging sexual relations in Jeffrey's NY mansion. However, Ransome later withdrew her claims, expressing reluctance to come forward and fearing negative consequences.

Epstein, known for his connections to celebrities, politicians, and affluent figures, faced police scrutiny in Palm Beach, Florida, in 2005 over allegations of paying a 14-year-old for sex. Though multiple underage girls reported similar abuses, Epstein pleaded guilty in 2008 to a single victim charge and served 13 months in a work-release program.

The Miami Herald's investigative report reignited interest in the case, leading to federal sex trafficking charges against Epstein in New York in 2019. He died in jail while awaiting trial, adding further layers to the unresolved scandal.
