Jeevitha Rajasekhar on Wednesday gave a health update on her husband and actor Dr. Rajasekhar's condition. He has been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad after contracting COVID-19.

"Let me clarify that my husband was never put on a ventilator. He has only been on non-invasive ventilator support. Of late, the oxygen support has been reduced gradually with him responding to treatment and showing considerable improvement. Doctors are expecting to take him out of the Intensive Care Unit soon," Jeevitha said.

She added that the 'Kalki' actor's condition was worrisome at one stage. "He did enter a critical phase. But he is now completely out of danger," Jeevitha said, thanking fans, well-wishers, relatives and friends for showing concern.
