Kacheri Aarambam - Gallery

A huge set replicating Burma Bazaar has been erected for ‘Kacheri Aarambam’, starring Jeeva. Produced by R B Choudary, the movie also features Poonam Bajwa and Vadivelu.

Directed by debutant Thiraivannan, the film has Tollywood actor J D Chakravarthy playing a negative character. The director, who had earlier worked with Boopathy Pandian, Seeman and Selvabharathy, says, "It would be a commercial entertainer. It is the story of a youth, who comes to Chennai for a living. He gets employed at Burma Bazaar, where his friend (Vadivelu) works. The movie is about the problems he faces in Chennai and how he overcomes them."

Initially, Thiraivannan was planning to shoot the movie in the crowded lanes of Burma Bazaar. But due to technical difficulties, he chose to erect sets replicating the market area at Film City.

'Kadhal' Dhandapani, Azhagam Perumal, Scissor Manohar and Muthukalai are also in the cast. The movie has music by D. Imman while Vaithi handles cinematography. Editing is by Jayashankar.
