Nagarjuna graced the success meet of 'Goodachari' on Wednesday as the chief guest.
The 'DevaDas' actor began his speech by congratulating the "new wave of actors, technicians" who are making films like 'Goodachari'.
"All the time for which I was watching the movie, I was wondering as to how they could make such a movie on a meagre budget. Have we been so lazy, so incompetent that we failed to make such a quality film on a meagre budget all the years? This is the question I asked myself while watching the movie," Nag said.
He had a special mention for the film's two stunt directors, who hail from Rajahmundry. "Where have you been all these years? Our industry needs talent like you," Nag commented.
"I came to know that the film was shot for 15 days in Annapurna Studios. I couldn't recognize it while watching the movie. Cinematographer Shaneil Deo made my Studio appear like a never-seen-before one to me! How was it possible?! Had Nanna garu been alive, he would have felt very happy.
I think nobody has used our Studio this well. As a youngster, I used to cheat my father and walk into the forest area in the Studio to have a booze. But even I couldn't explore the Studio so much," Nag exclaimed.
Nag praised the fight sequence involving Madhu Shalini and Adivi Sesh. "It's so stylishly shot. Fantastic! I clapped involuntarily while watching it!" he said. "They made us connect with the emotion without using so much paraphernalia. I felt jealous, I felt excited. Cinemalu oorike aadavu. Only films like 'Mahanati', 'Rangasthalam' and 'Goodachari' have made big monies this year," he commented.
"The BGM is still haunting me. Sricharan Pakala has done a great job. Abburi Ravi has penned hard-hitting lines. I shouldn't talk like this but Sobhita Dhulipala is so hot. She is so attractive. Her character is so well-written. She is a camouflaged character. What Adivi Sesh wanted in the film is also there (indirectly referring to kissing scenes in a naughty way!)," Nag said.
About his niece Supriya, Nag said that he never knew she is so talented before watching 'Goodachari'.
"All in all, the Telugu film industry should be proud of Adivi Sesh. 'Goodachari' has shown a new path to the industry. Just as 'Shiva' inspired a lot of directors, this film too will do the same. These days audiences are rejecting movies on the first day itself if there is no content. I wish you luck with 'Goodachari-2'," Nag signed off.
