JD Chakravarthy has opened up on the Nandi awards controversy in an RGV-esque style. "All the Nandi awards that have been given since 1989 are stupid, humbug and nonsensical. It's because I never got a single award during this period. I am a very selfish guy. I am not bothered about whether there have been politics in it or not. I would have called the Nandis fantastic had I received a Nandi during this period," JD jokes!
What does he think about Pawan Kalyan being in politics? "I don't know anything about politics. That said, I don't think people are influenced by the kind of films that Pawan does. Rather, they should get influenced by his social activities. People won't vote for anybody because of the films he has done," JD analyzes.
Married last year, JD says, "I never believed those who said that one will get married when he or she is supposed to. But I am now believing it.'
He is tight-lipped about whether he is essaying Chandrababu Naidu's role in RGV's 'Lakshmi's NTR'.
The 'Gaddam guy' is directing a Telugu film co-produced by RGV. "It will hit the screens in January or February. Besides this, I am doing two films in Tamil. Amma Rajasekhar garu's 'Ugram' is almost done," he signs off.
