Director Sanjay Gupta's upcoming venture 'Jazbaa' marks the comeback of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to the big screen. The action thriller also stars Irrfan Khan and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.

'Jazbaa' is a complete performance based film and Aishwarya will be seen essaying the role of the lead protagonist. The actress will be seen doing some strenuous action-packed stunts for which she will soon undergo special training. For this, Sanjay Gupta has signed in Hollywood stunt director Spiro Razatos, who has worked on several Hollywood movies.

Set in modern day Mumbai, Aishwarya plays a lawyer in this action thriller, while Irrfan essays the role of a cop, who is under suspension period.  Besides them, media sources claim, that Azmi essays the role of a mother who fights these two characters for her own justice.

'Jazbaa' is expected to have its premier at Cannes Film Festival 2015.

The movie is slated to release on 9 October 2015.
