Team Ponniyin Selvan is gearing up for a grand release on September 30th 2022. The audio launch function happened a few days ago and a video of Jayram mimicking actor Prabhu is going viral on the internet.

When Jayram was asked to share some memorable incidents from the shooting days, he shared an incident that happened with Prabhu. We all know Mani Rathnam is a perfectionist and never takes his work for granted.

Prabhu and Jayram who happened to share a caravan had a fun conversation at 4.30 in the morning where Prabhu asked him to eat breakfast as Mani Rathnam will never give breaks in between the shoot. Jayram who was not interested in eating breakfast in the early hours had lied to Prabhu that there will be two hours break in between the shoot as the cameras will be shifted to a different place.

Prabhu who believed this starved the whole day as the team continued shooting without any break. Jayram shared this incident in Prabhu's voice and the whole team broke into laughter. Produced by Ratnam and Allirajah Subaskaran under Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions, PS 1 is the first of two cinematic parts based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1955 novel Ponniyin Selvan. The film stars an ensemble cast of Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman and R. Parthiban.
