Jayasurya reveals his preparations for Kathanar

Actor Jayasurya is one of the few actors who leave no stone unturned to get into the shoes of his characters. In a recent interview with Times of India, the actor revealed that soon after he completes 'Aadu 3' he will be taking a break for three months to get into the character of Kadamattathu Kathanar for his upcoming movie.
The actor also confirmed that the upcoming 3D fantasy thriller will use virtual reality technology. The makers claim it to be the first Indian film to use the Virtual Reality technique. Popular Hollywood films like ‘Lion King’ and ‘Jungle Book’ have previously used the technique of virtual reality production. To be made on a whopping budget of rupees 75 crore, the movie's preproduction works are on full swing.
Gokulam Gopalan's Sree Gokulam Movie banner is bankrolling this upcoming fantasy thriller 'Kathanar The Wild Sorcerer 3D'. Directed by Rojin Thomas of ‘Philips and the Monkey Pen’ fame, the movie is penned by R Ramanand. The cinematographer of the 3D film is Neil D Cunha. Jayasurya will be essaying the titular role of Kadamattathu Kathanar, the legendary priest who possessed supernatural powers and used them to hunt evil forces.
