Versatile actor Jayasurya is known for his offbeat roles done with much vivacity and naturalness. While the actor is yet to get his due from the public or any critical body, he has held is own and has a faithful following. With teh kind of roles he has done, he is being called the Di Caprio and Vikram of M'Town.

The actor was given a special mention by the State Award jury and now the National Award jury too have made a special mention about the actor. He was mentioned for his performances in 'Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam' and 'Lukka Chupp
