Actor Jayasurya will be playing the role of a football player for an upcoming movie titled Captain`. is all busy preparing for the role. The movie which will be directed by debutant Prajeesh Sen is based on the autobiography of Football player V.P Sathyan, who in 1991 became the captain of the Indian team for the World Cup qualifiers in Beirut and Seoul, and had also led Kerala to the Santosh Trophy title in 1992.

The interesting factor is that 'Captain' has a host of newcomers playing pivotal characters. Reportedly, the movie will feature 75 real-life footballers who will be seen playing in various matches in the film.

The movie, which has Jayasurya and Anu Sithara in the lead, also has several coaches of Sathyan as part of the cast. As the story focuses on three phases of the footballer's life, Jayasuriya will be seen in three getups. Siddique, Deepak Parambol, Renji Panicker and Nirmal Palazhy will play important characters in the movie.

Captain, produced by George T.L under the banner of Goodwill Entertainments, is touted to be a big budget movie made within a whopping budget of rupees 10 crores. The movie started rolling in Kozhikode on Sunday. Stay tuned for further updates!
