There were many incidences in Malayalam where the lead stars had gone to any extent to change their physical appearances to suit their characters on screens. Classic examples in Malayalam include Yathra, Mrigaya, Uncle Bun, Sooryamaanasam and Ponthan Mada to name a few. Making a role model of these veterans, who had lost considerable weight and gone for hours of make-up to appear perfect for their roles, is the young star Jayasuriya. Recently he had totally removed his stylish hair to suit the fourth getup of the character in the movie 'Nallavan'. The getup will have the character in a situation where he turns schizophrenic with dissociate feelings and anxiety, desperately trying to find out what really happened with his busy loving life of the past.

Jayasuriya has many hopes on the character of the film which takes a decisively different approach from the regular roles that the young actor had been to. Directed by Aji John, the movie has completed its production works and is presently in its final stages of post production.
