Veteran actress Jayasudha's husband Nithin Kapoor (58) has allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday (March 14).

Jayapradha has been acting in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam language films, since the early 1970s. She has acted with Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan in 'Pattakathi Bairavan' and in K.Balachander's 'Ninaithaley Inikkum'. She has also acted as Superstar Rajinikanth's elder sister in 'Pandiyan' and as Shalini's mother in Mani Ratnam's classic Romance, 'Alaipayuthey'.

In 1985, Jayasudha entered wedlock with Nithin Kapoor, cousin of famous Bollywood actor Jithendra. The couple have two sons,Nihar and Shreyas. Kappor and Jayasudha have produced a few films together.

At around 2'0 clock on Tuesday, Kapoor allegedly fell down from the terrace of an apartment complex in Andheri, Mumbai. While it is widely believed that it is a suicide, the police have registered a case of unnatural death. Jayasudha has rushed to Mumbai immediately after getting the news.

As there is no suicide note left behind by Kapoor, the exact reason for his taking this extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
