In a cheque bounce case noted producer Smt Jayasri Devi was arrested by Chamrajpet police on Wednesday. It is 10 years old case. Jayasri Devi cheque to Anand for Rs.50 lakhs bounced. As a result Anand complained and court has directed police to arrest Jayasri Devi.

Jayasri Devi hailing from Andhra Pradesh made some of the top films such as Snehaloka, Amruthavarshini, Nammura Mandhara Hoove, Kona Eedaithe, Mukunda Murari etc.
Anand of Ashwini Pictures had given Rs.34 lakhs to Jayasri Devi and in turn she had given the cheque. The arrest warrant was passed by 18 ACMM court for this 11 years long pending case. Jayasri Devi did not attend court on several occasion was also the reason for such order of arrest.

It is one year imprisonment according to police statement.
