Parvathy Jayaram, who was one of the leading actresses in the late 80s and 90s stayed away from the big screen post her marriage to actor Jayaram. Recently, there were reports doing the round that the gorgeous actress will be making her comeback through director Kamal`s upcoming biopic Aami, based on the life of writer-poet Kamala Das.

When Jayaram was asked about the same, the actor dismissed the reports as baseless rumours. Parvathy who has worked with almost all top stars of Mollywood was a regular face in director Kamal`s movies back then. This has lead the rumour mills to cook up new stories linking with the actress.

It is to be noted that, Bollywood diva Vidya Balan was initially signed to play the lead in Aami ,but she later opted out of the project after creative differences with the filmmaker. Later, Tabu and Parvathy were rumored to do the title role, which was rubbished by the director himself. There is still no official confirmation about who will play the lead in this much awaited biopic, which also has Prithviraj and Murali Gopi as part of the cast.
