The murder case of businessman Chigurupati Jayaram continues to see new developments. The prime accused Rakesh Reddy and his accomplice Srinivasulu have been interrogated by the Jubilee Hills police for about four days. Rakesh has confessed that he tried to take Jayaram's thumb impression before killing him. Three others are alleged to have assisted the accused in executing their plan. One of them is a failed small-time actor in the Telugu film industry.

On Saturday, the police have taken three individuals - Anji Reddy, Srinu and Ramulu - into custody. One of them is the husband of a councilor from Siricilla. They reportedly have had real estate dealings with Rakesh.

On the day Jayaram was brutally murdered, Anji Reddy was invited over to his place by Rakesh Reddy, the former said in his confession. He and his friends ran away from the place upon seeing the mangled body. Out of fear or whatever, they remained silent about what they saw.
