WATCH: Jayaram-Meera Jasmine's Makal teaser is out!

A day ago, the makers of Sathyan Anthikad's much-awaited directorial ‘Makal’ has launched the first teaser from the film. While unveiling the teaser, director Sathyan Anthikad remembered late KPAC Lalitha by penning a warm note and dedicated the teaser to her. As you know, late actress KPAC Lalitha was a frequent presence in Sathyan Anthikkad's films. His upcoming directorial 'Makal' would be one of those movies without Lalitha's presence. While releasing the teaser of the movie, the director revealed that the late actress wanted to act in the movie but could not do so due to her ailments.
The teaser gives a glimpse of a happy go lucky middle-aged couple played by Jayaram and Meera Jasmine, who has a teenage daughter, played by Devika Sanjay. Going by the teaser, it looks like the upcoming movie will be a light-hearted complete family entertainer. ‘Makal’ marks the comeback of Meera Jasmine after a while. Sathyan Anthikad and Meera Jasmine have earlier worked together in films ‘Achuvinte Amma’, ‘Rasathanthram’, ‘Vinodayathra’, and ‘Innathe Chintha Vishayam’, and the upcoming film ‘Makal’ will mark their fifth collaboration. The Sathyan Anthikkad directorial also features Sreenivasan, Devika Sanjay, Siddique, and Innocent playing pivotal roles.
‘Makal’ is written by Dr. Iqbal Kuttipuram. S Kumar ISC is the cinematography director, and K Rajagopal is the editor. Vishnu Vijay is the music director. The team wrapped up the shoot on December 11 and the post-production works are currently progressing at a brisk pace. The makers are eyeing for a theatrical release.
