Kamal Haasan and Jayaram always share a good rapport. The two came together with Malayalam movie Chanakyan and followed it up with hilarious movies including Thenali and Panchatantiram.

After a brief interval, the two would come together again for their next. Jayaram will play an important role in Kamal Haasan's forthcoming film Dasavatharam.

K S Ravikumar would direct the movie.

Jayaram, whose career was revived with the good run of his latest Madhuchandralekha, had last appeared in Paramasivan in Tamil playing the role of a CBI officer.

Jayaram, said, 'I have been approached for a role in the movie and I actually don't even know what the role is! I would never give up the opportunity of working with Kamal and watch him act.’

Heaping praises on Ravikumar, Jayaram said, 'An amazing person, he always gave us the freedom to improvise. It is a great feeling to work with him'.
