Jayam Ravi to remake Akshay Kumar's hit

The 'Thani Oruvan' star Jayam Ravi will reprise the role of Akshay Kumar in the Tamil remake of 'Baby' (the 2015 Hindi film). The spy thriller will be directed by Ahmed of 'Manithan' fame.

The story deals with an undercover team hunting down Pak terrorists. Mathie is on board as cinematographer. This is surely going to be a prestigious project and could well be a mini multi-starrer. Rana Daggubati and Taapsee Pannu were seen in the original.

Ravi awaits the release of 'Tik Tik Tik' in February. This is India's first space film.
