Actor Jayam Ravi's 'Vanamagan' is getting ready to hit the screens next week. Now the Tall and Handsome actor is getting ready to enact the role of a warrior in director Sundar.C's 'Sangamithra' which will be biggest project in the actor's 14 year long career.
Ravi has apparently given two years of call sheet for 'Sangamithra' which will be a historical fantasy adventure made on a humungous scale by Thenandal banner. Many heroes rejected the offer to be a part of this prestigious project for the reason that it demanded these many days of call sheet. However Ravi has dedicated his two years of his career for this film and this is how he justifies his decision.
"I have done films that have taken three years. I am never concerned about time period. I always look for quality of films rather than quantity. If we need quality it will take the time required. Giving this much of time for a film like this. If I look back at our career in future at any given moment, doing this film will make me feel proud. Of course it is a testing time. When the sets are getting ready you will have to sit at home without any work for around a month's time. You cannot go out or do any other work as you have to maintain your look and getup. We have to be patient at such instances."
Regarding comparisons with 'Baahubali', the 'Thani Oruvan' actor said, "Since both the films are of historical genre comparisons are unavoidable. I myself immensely enjoyed watching Baahubali. But since I know the script of 'Sangamithra' I can assure that both the films are entirely different."
