Jayam Ravi is a leading actor in Kollywood, who is headlining the titular role in Mani Ratnam's epic period historical fiction film 'Ponniyin Selvan'. He wrapped up filming for PS1 several months ago and kickstarted shooting for his 28th film 'JR28' in September 2021.

The charming actor is teaming up with the director Kalyana Krishnan for the second time after the 2015 film 'Bhooloham'. Priya Bhavani Shankar is playing the female lead opposite Jayam Ravi. Sam CS is scoring the music while the cinematography is handled by Vivek. The makers revealed the official title and first look of 'JR28' on their social media page.

The title of 'JR28' is revealed to be 'Agilan', as we reported to you earlier. The first look poster featured Jayam Ravi as a worker in the port and it is being reported that he will be seen as a smuggler. Financed by Screen Scene Media Entertainment, the film is touted to be an action thriller happening around a harbour. The movie's tagline read, "King of the Indian Ocean."
