Jayam Ravi who is waiting for the release of his film Ponniyin Selvan directed by Manirathnam in a recent interview shared his experience of working with the veteran director. Jayaram reportedly stated that all actors in India would love to act under Mani Ratnam’s direction. He said that he was lucky to have gotten the opportunity to act in Mani Ratnam’s film and added that it was a big accomplishment.

The actor also shared that he has never seen any other film set that is as disciplined as Mani Ratnam’s film. He stated that everyone during the shooting woke up at 03:30 am in the morning and would be there at 06:00 am exactly for their shot. He also added that ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ will become Mani Ratnam’s signature film and it will act as a cherry on top of all Mani Ratnam’s grandness.

the film has Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Trisha, Aishwaryaa Rai, Karthi, Arjun and Jayaram. Currently, the movie is in post-production and the music work for the movie is also under process. Apart from the lead roles, the movie also has Shobita, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Vikram Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, and Prakash Raj among others in supporting roles.
