Jayam Ravi's parents Editor Mohan and Varalakshmi Mohan celebrated their landmark 50th wedding anniversary today. The couple along with their three children Raja, Ravi and Roja along with daughters in law, son in law and grandchildren paid a visit to seek divine blessings at the Tirupathi temple.

Though the younger generation is familiar about leading actor Jayam Ravi and ace director Mohan Raja, their father Mohan is a much accompalished achiever in the field of editing. He has edited over 200 films in all Indian languages which is a record and hence he is known as Editor Mohan. Apart from that he has also written produced and distributed films in multiple languages and also made the careers of his two sons.

Editor Mohan has always credited his wife Varalakshmi for his success and the couple have lived a life of an example for others in the film industry. An elated Jayam Ravi sharing pics of the family gettogether wrote "50 years of marriage ?? happy anniversary #ammaappa blessings from thiruthani temple...Gods blessings and our parents blessing".

Jayam Ravi recently received critical acclaim for his powerful portrayal of the title role in Mani Ratnam's epic multistarrer 'Ponniyin Selvan'. He has completed shooting for 'Agilan' and 'Iraivan' costarring Nayanthara and is currently shooting for 'Siren' in which Keerthy Suresh and Anupama Parameshwaran are playing his pairs.
