The charming actor Jayam Ravi rediscovered his prime form with director Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan' saga, which emerged as the biggest industry hit in Kollywood. Now, his next film 'Iraivan' is gearing up to storm the screens. The team announced the release date with a kickass poster today.

Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara, the pair which captivated the audience in 'Thani Oruvan', are back in this upcoming action thriller. The official update from the actor read, "Iraivan will surprise you with the incredible theatrical experience across 4 languages from August 25th !!!" (sic). The release date poster shows Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara divided by a knife.

'Iraivan' is directed by Ahmed of 'Endrendrum Punnagai' and 'Manithan' fame with Yuvan Shankar Raja scoring the music and Passion Studios producing on a grand scale. Hari Vedanth is handling the cinematography and Manikandan Balaji is taking care of the editing. The film will be out in the South Indian languages - Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
