Just after the release of the film Mohan Raja`s first straight film Thani Oruvan` became a hot property in the remake circles.

As we had reported earlier Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan who made his production team to watch the Jayam Ravi-Nayanthara-Arvind Swamy starrer in a special screening was very much keen to buy the Hindi remake rights of the film and his production company is on final stages of talks for the same. The question whether Salman Khan would star in the film still remains a suspense but what is almost confirmed is that Raja will be entering to Bollywood with this film as a director.

Meanwhile the Telugu remake rights of the film have been snapped up by producer D.V.V.Danayya who has begun the pre-production work for the Telugu remake of Thani Oruvan` and is in talks with Ram Charan Teja on board to reprise the lead role played by Jayam Ravi in Tamil. However the Telugu version of the film may directed by someone else instead of Raja who is more likely to take up the Hindi remake which would probably happen at the same time.
