Actor Jayam Ravi's upcoming film 'Miruthan' touted as the first ever Zombie film in Tamil cinema was expected to hit the screens on this Friday that is February 12, 2016.
The film directed by Sakthi Soundararajan of 'Naaigal Jaakkiradhai' fame was watched by Censor Board officials recently. Much to the shock of the makers of 'Miruthan', the film has been given a A certificate which will not only snatch way its potential of getting the entertainment tax exemption given by the government but also distance the film from family audience.
Now the makers have decided to send the film for the Revising committee of the Central Board of Film Certification in Mumbai expecting a change of rating. As this process will require more time, the release of the film may not happen this week and it may be postponed. We will however have to wait for an official confirmation from the makers.
'Miruthan' has been produced by Michael Rayappan under the Global Infotainments banner. Lakshmi Menon as acted as the female lead and D.Imman has done the musical score.
