It is well known that the 'Ponniyin Selvan' team is currently on an extensive promotional tour across the country ahead of the movie's release. Director Mani Ratnam, Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, and others took part in the pre-release events in several places.

On September 20, the makers met the fans in Trivandrum during the 'Ponniyin Selvan' Kerala pre-release event. Meanwhile, the hot news is that Jayam Ravi and Jayaram also visited Sabarimala Ayyappan Temple during the promotional function in Kerala. The photos from their Darshan have surfaced over social media and are going viral currently.

Sharing the pictures on his social media, Jayam Ravi wrote, "In Pamba, with my Guruswamy Jayaram who guides me with love in real life like Azhvarkadiyan Nambi in Ponniyin Selvan !!" (sic). Jayam Ravi plays the titular role of Ponniyin Selvan aka Arunmozhi Varman and Jayaram will be seen as Thirumalaiappan aka Aazhvarkadiyan Nambi.

'Ponniyin Selvan' is the adaptation of the epic historical fiction novel of the same name by renowned author Kalki. The story revolves around the throne of Chola kingdom and the conspiracy against the royal bloodline by the enemies. With music by AR Rahman, 'PS1' is all set to hit the big screens on September 30.
