Jayam Ravi has been known for his careful script selection, and in the past few years post the blockbuster result of Thani Oruvan which redefined his career, the actor has starred in a zombie flick(Miruthan), a space flick(Tik Tik Tik), a soul swapping flick(Bhogan) and a boxing based drama(Bhoologam).

His latest offering Adangamaru, directed by debutant Karthik Thangavel has turned out to be a money spinner, and the social thriller also starring Raashi Khanna has struck a chord with the audience, with its racy screenplay and relevant social message on women safety.

Speaking at the recently held success meet of Adangamaru, Jayam Ravi had revealed how director Karthik Thangavel was instrumental in wrapping Aadhi Bhagavan which was long delayed, within one and half months of him joining the team and added it was then that he decided to work with him in the future. Jayam Ravi also revealed that he will join hands with Karthik Thangavel for another movie which will be based on a social theme. With Karthik Thangavel being signed by Prince pictures for their next, it is to be seen if Adangamaru combo will unite after that project and whether it's gonna be Adangamaru 2.
