We all know that Dhanush teamed up with the Tollywood director Venky Atluri for the bilingual film, 'Vaathi'. The period action drama with a strong social message about the education system was initially planned to be released on December 2 but was pushed to February 17 officially.

Vaathi stars Dhanush and Samyuktha Menon in the lead roles and is produced by Sithara Entertainment and Fortune Four Cinemas. Now, sources say that Vaathi is once again postponed to Summer(May) 2023. Meanwhile, the hot news is that Jayam Ravi starrer gangster action film, 'Agilan', is now aiming for the previous release date of Vaathi.

As per the reports, the makers of Agilan are aiming for a grand theatrical release on February 17 or 24. This film will be the only Tamil biggie that is planning a February release as of now. Agilan directed by Kalyana Krishnan stars Jayam Ravi, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Tanya Ravichandran and Harish Uthaman in the lead roles.

Jayam Ravi will be seen as a gangster while Priya Bhavani Shankar plays a police officer. The music and the background score of the film are done by Sam CS. The film will unravel the unexplored underworld of organized crime based around a harbour. The official announcement regarding the release date is yet to be made by the production house Screen Scene.
