The hunt for the director to do Vijay's 50th film seems to be over. According to reports, director Raja, son of editor Mohan, and brother of 'Jayam' Ravi has been assigned to direct the film.

Vijay is currently acting in 'Villu' (his 49th film). His father and acclaimed director S A Chandrasekaharan is planning to produce Vijay's 50th film in a grand manner. A thorough search was on for the director. Several big names were discussed. Finally they seem to have settled down with 'Jayam' Raja.

Raja had rendered several hits including 'Jayam', 'M. Kumaran', 'Unakum Enakum' and 'Santosh Subramaniam' earlier. His movie starring Vijay is expected be a family entertainer, but all commercial elements would obviously be present, said an insider.

Interestingly, all the four films of Raja featured his younger brother (Jayam Ravi) in lead roles.
