Ever since the untimely passing of Jayalalithaa, several Kollywood directors have been longing to make a movie based on her life history. It was announced earlier that Director Priyadharshini would be making the biopic of the former CM titled “The Iron Lady.” Also, rumours have been going around that directors Bharathiraja and AL Vijay have been keen on making the biopic as well.

Recent news is that famous director Gautham Menon is making the biopic, but as a TV series instead. Apparently, there are 30 episodes in the show, and Ramya Krishnan will be seen playing the iconic Jayalalithaa.

The series is expected to be aired in one of the top channels of the state, with actors, Ranjith and Vinitha, among other people, have been roped in to play various characters in the show, which will include the roles of MGR and Sasikala as well.
