Former Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha's niece Deepa Jeyakumar has been hogging the limelight in the State as well as National media ever since the sudden death of her paternal aunt on December 5. Now Deepa, a resident of Cehennai has gone missing according to news reports.

Amrutha, the daughter of Jayalalitha's sister Shylaja has alleged that her cousin Deepa could not be traced since Monday (December 12).

Amrutha who resides in Bengaluru has told Bengaluru media that Deepa's Chennai residence was found locked on Monday and she could not be traced through phone either. Amrutha has also said she is worried about the safety of Deepa as she has criticised Jayalalitha's close friend Sasikala, who is touted to take over the party leadership.

Deepa was allegedly not allowed to meet Jayalalitha when the latter was admitted in Apollo hospital. After Jaya's death, Deepa has been speaking against Sasikala and raising suspicions about her aunt's death.
