The most sought after heroine of the 70s and 80s Jayalalitha paired up with all the Southern Superstars like MGR, Sivaji, NTR, ANR, Jai Shankar and others. When she was the undisputed numero uno she acted as Cho Rama Swamy`s pair in a film titled Vandhale Maharasi` in which she played dual roles. The two displayed sparkling chemistry onscreen with comedic overtones to great effect.

Jayalalitha and Cho shared a longstanding friendship for many decades from the time they were actors. In the years that followed Cho served as a political advisor to the Amma who valued his opinion. Destiny has engineered that the two friends departed to their heavenly abodes a day apart.
