"Feeling emotional, excited and blessed. Grew up admiring you but never imagined that I would be directing you sir," tweeted director Atlee of 'Raja Rani' and 'Bigil' fame, sharing the motion poster of 'Jawan'. The pan-India flick stars Shah Rukh Khan in the lead.
Set to hit the screens on June 2 next year, the film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
The First Look, released today by Red Chillies Entertainment, suggests that 'Jawan' is going to be a high-octane actioner. We see the hero in a rough backdrop. He is wounded and is wrapped in bandages. Since his smile is intact even in the face of pain, we get a feeling that he is playing a larger-than-life character.
SRK has described the story of 'Jawan' as universal traversing geographies and breaking barriers. It is going to be a fantastic experience for someone who loves action films like him, said SRK.
Atlee is promising an out-of-the-world experience. The event film is going to be high-end.
Produced by Gauri Khan, the film is currently in the making.
