Late actor Rishi Kapoor's final film 'Sharmaji Namkeen' was released few days back and it has managed to make a special place in heart of fans with its feel good vibe and an inspiring plot. Recently, veteran screenwriter and lyricist Javed Akhtar also got the opportunity to watch 'Sharmaji Namkeen' and he was mighty impressed by it.
On Monday, Javed took to Twitter to thank Paresh Rawal for making the project happen and stated how Rishi Kapoor managed to hit it out of the part with his last screen appearance.
The tweet read, "Watched Sharma ji Namkeen . So well written and directed . Thank you Paresh Rawal saheb for your most unusual and great contribution . Now my friend Chintu , ultimately it is your show . You have hit the last ball out of the stadium . Tell me ,why we all won’t miss you for ever."
The plot of 'Sharmaji Namkeen' follows a man in his sixties looking to find a new purpose in life. Unfortunately Rishi Kapoor had passed away midway through the filming and makers were then compelled makers to bring in Paresh Rawal to film the remaining scenes in order to finish the project.
